'Intuitive eating' in the perinatal period

x

I recommend the approach referred to as Intuitive Eating for women in the perinatal period (which is also the best approach to take to food more broadly). The principles of Intuitive Eating are discussed here.

If you're pregnant, your body and developing baby need a wholesome and enjoyable diet with an emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables, minimal refined and ultra-processed foods, standard pregnancy vitamin supplementation, and no alcohol.

Possums acknowledges the traditional owners of the lands upon which The Possums Programs have been created, the Yuggera and Turrbal Peoples. We acknowledge that First Nations have breastfed, slept with, and lovingly raised their children on Australian lands for at least 65,000 years, to become the oldest continuous living culture on Earth. Possums stands with the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
